PlusFloor & L'atelier - Harrods
When renowned artist Yayoi Kusama teamed up with Louis Vuitton for a second time, Harrods, the iconic London department store, knew it had to create a truly extraordinary shopping experience. The retailer turned to L'atelier to design a pop-up exhibition that would capture the essence of Kusama's vibrant and imaginative world.
The challenge was to create an immersive experience, the pop-up needed to transport visitors into Kusama's universe, replicating the artist's signature style and energy. The second challenge was balancing the aesthetics and functionality of the space.
L'atelier selected PlusFloor's Formation Plank in the French Loft colourway to provide the perfect foundation for the pop-up exhibition. The advantages of the Formation collection include:
Visual Appeal: The French Loft colourway’s authentic wood appearance complemented the bold, colourful elements of Kusama's designs, creating a harmonious and visually striking environment.
Durability: The flooring's robust construction ensured it could withstand the demands of a high-traffic retail space, maintaining its pristine appearance throughout the exhibition.
Easy Maintenance: PlusFloor's LVT is low-maintenance, requiring minimal cleaning and upkeep, allowing Harrods' staff to focus on providing exceptional customer service.
The Kusama pop-up at Harrods was a resounding success. The combination of L'atelier's innovative design and PlusFloor's high-quality flooring created an immersive and unforgettable experience for visitors. The French Loft LVT seamlessly integrated into the space, enhancing the overall aesthetic and ensuring a comfortable and luxurious shopping environment.
